Long Story Short: Whatevs, this place breaks my “they-must-offer-a-dedicated-brunch” rule, but fuck it-  I finally got my bloody & a burger… the right way.  And it was goooooood.

Long Story Long:

Yes, it finally happened.  Here’s how it went down – my friends and I traveled out to East Hampton to attend the Hampton Film Festival.   Not that we saw any actual films, mind you, but our hearts were in the right place (and by that I mean we spent part of one afternoon watching Never Been Kissed in the hotel room.  Nice).  We did participate in the culture and spirit of the fest by attending some events, scoping out the mansions, walking out on to the beach…. It was, in a word, idyllic – as idyllic as an under 40 hour vacation can and should be.  Which is why it was no surprise to me that here, in the haven of high-class cuisine and culture, I finally found my perfect burger & an admirably adequate bloody to go with it.

So yes, Rowdy Hall does not technically offer a dedicated brunch, but in my defense, they offer a fair amount of breakfast items as well as their regular lunch menu, so there.  Since we had spent most of the weekend eating and drinking, there was a small moment when the three of us weighed the lighter menu options…  Then my BFFF, bless her heart, slammed her menu down and said “Fuck it, I’m gettin’ a burger.”

“Well…” I responded, “once I see your burger, I’m going to want a burger.”  Our co-diner, and burger connoisseur and former member of something called “Burger Group” echoed my sentiment.  And thus, a pact was made.  And, in the end, not one of us was sorry.

Well… maybe I should have ordered cheddar not swiss… no.  No, it was perfect. end of story. Hangover Before: mild Hangover After: blissfully on another plain…
