Long Story Short: OMG OMG OMG – this is my most favorite bar in the entire neighborhood.  To be fair, this is not technically a dedicated brunch.  They are open earlier on Sat & Sun, serve bloody marys, and have the same simple menu they have during regular hours.  That being said, the food is delicious, light and quick, which could just be exactly what you are looking for.  Cheap too, mostly.

Long Story Long:

Last Saturday was the day I was throwing my annual Chanukah party, better known as “Latkas and Vodkas.”  Of course, I had done nothing to prepare – wait, I totally bought cups at the dollar store a week before.  That aside, I had a lot of shit to do before heading home with enough time to make latkes from 10 pounds of potatoes, then air out my apartment so it didn’t smell like the inside of a fryer before guests arrived.  I recruited BFFF to assist me, as her usual co-hosting duties require, and she suggested we make time for brunch.  Naturally, I consented, and we made a plan to meet at 1pm at the Richardson, our most favorite bar in all of Williamsburg.  I woke up that morning, put the coffee on, and logged on to Facebook to get some intel on the morning’s news.  C’mon – you all know you do it sometimes too.  Let’s face it -  if something happened in the world that somehow affects your life, you know your more industrious friends will have already posted a compelling article or status-update to fill you in.  In any case, the first thing I notice is a wall post on my profile which reads “so is your party gonna be postponed?” to which I reply “Ummm…. what?”

“You know, because of the snow?”

“Ummm… what?”

“There’s a motherfucking blizzard coming!”
